Dr. P. K. Biswas holds is a Master’s Degree in Arts from JNU and a Ph.D in Sociology from Utkal University.

Dr. Biswas is the Dean Research at IMT, Ghaziabad, he is also the Former Vice Chancellor of Skyline University, Nigeria and Former Director of Institute of Financial Management & Research, Chennai and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi. He was also a Senior Professor at the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.

He is a member of various leading professional associations such as Life Member, Indian Sociological Society, Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, Indian Society for Training and Development. He is also a Member of Rural Development Forestry Network, Overseas Development Institute, U.K., Common Property Resource Management Network, Yale School of Forestry, USA., Community Forestry Network, FAO, Rome., Regional Wood Energy Development Programme Network, FAO, RAPA, Bangkok., ILEIA Network, The Netherlands and many more.

He has presented 44 papers in National & International Conferences / Seminars / Workshops and he has completed 54 projects for several organisations in his career, a few of the notable ones are Ford Foundation, Action Aid India, TERI, ISO/ Swed Forest, UNICEF, AFARM, PRADAN, ASA and others.
